Neighborhood Watch

About the Program

The purpose of the Neighborhood Watch program is to organize neighbors and bring them together in order to make them more vigilant about what transpires in their neighborhood. Neighborhood watches help reduce the fear and incidence of crime, thus making Normandy a safer place to live, work, and play.

It requires the assistance of citizens as additional eyes and ears in participating neighborhoods to watch for any suspicious activity and immediately report all crime and/or suspicious activity to police. If you would like to organize a neighborhood watch program in your area, please contact us at 314-385-3300.

Operation IDENT

Our Bureau of Criminal Investigations can loan to you, for three days, an invisible ink marker that you can use to mark your personal property, in which officers using special equipment will be able to identify if it is stolen and recovered. By marking your property, you can help us return you property to you when we find it. To borrow a marker, call the Bureau of Criminal Investigations at 385-3300 extension 3166, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, holidays excluded.
