Due to the current covid-19 crisis, the public works department will only be able to salt the roads “sparingly” when inclement weather hits because of the limited supply. The request for salt was made on 6/24/2020 and it has not yet been delivered. An email was received from the city of Chesterfield who coordinates the purchase and delivery for all members of the St. Louis metro APWA salt co-op stating that there is a delay in the deliveries of salt due to the pandemic.
Big Bulk Schedule
Big bulk is only once a month. Big bulk is picked up on the 3rd Wednesday of each month only. Please do not set items out before this date. A citation will be issued
Trash Can Reminders
All residents in every ward need to remove their trash can(s) from the curb and return them to the side or back of their home after their trash has been picked up. Citations will be given to those in noncompliance.
Please have your can(s) out the night before pick up or by 7 am the day of pick up. Please follow this guideline to prevent your trash from not being picked up at all. The sanitation crew will not return and pick up your refuse if this guideline is not followed.
It is critical for the health and safety of the recycling sorters to keep contamination out. Medical or cleaning, I.E. Wipes, gloves, mask, paper towels, medical needles are not allowed. Only recycle clean and dry newspaper and “flattened” cardboard, cartons, plastic bottles and containers, glass bottles and jars, metal food and beverage containers. No plastic bags of any type. Human beings are sorting your recycling-protect their health!
Please do not “overstuff” your Normandy city trash can. This will prevent damage to the cans, rodent invasion, and trash blowing about. The purchase of a second trash can is strongly recommended to address this issue during this covid 19 pandemic. Please help keep our city and neighborhoods clean and free of debris.
